Blog 18, walk the block
Walk the block around, look the windows in! It’s a saying that my mentor Chuck Stormes told me about years ago, when I was apprenticing as a young saddle maker. It seemed a fitting title to this brief post regarding the window trim assortments I have seen so far. Yes, you could say that I walked the block around…………and looked the windows in. I hope you enjoy this little photographic journal of eastern european window dressing. These walks took place in Russia, Ukraine and Moldova so far.

Hey wisee,s, glad your with us. Food in mongolia is strait off hells menu…..that alone should make folks find jesus. Food in everything after mongolia has just gotten better. A lot of soup so far, also plimeni which is like little meat filled raviolis. Best served with sour cream…..but often with maggot gagging mayo. Bread in russia is often dark sour rye which i love and pine hates. Romania though is the beginning of culture, and we see influence of europe and turkish foods. Good stuff, pray, i need more christ in my life and less blog fights. Good to know you guys. Are along for the journey.
We had a 2 egg omlet after thier little love walk. Yup, i like shooting people as well, but they are pretty stand offish when confronted by a hairy man in rubber pants…..imagine that.
I have made it a promise on this trip to meet and photograph 2 characters per day….no age limits, just intersting looking. So far doing pretty good. Big fight with blog and image uploads…..good thing there is distance between us. Keep your tools sharp, have you got the new dvd frm wilson??
I have not really had the chance to see how you post a coment, but i can tell you i hate the program. And yes i am a tech idiot. Romania, wow, it is really a fascinating place. Thanks for being with us in spirit.
Hi guys. Finally might have figured out how to respond. Hope you are enjoying Romania. Still praying for y’all. Big Bro.
Pssh I know why you want to go on these long rides in far off places…to be the design fiend who always has a few more ideas up his sleeve than his daughter! JK!! Love the pics dad and you must be in heaven with all the hollyhocks! My personal favorites are the older people you take photos of the lines on there faces just tell so much! Keep going and keep peddling!
Love the people shots! Oh, and the poultry out for a little walk down lover’s lane?
Love the windows and the flowers in the windows. What kind of food are you eating these past few days? I’m still gagging over all the mutton dishes you had in Mongolia…lol!
Keep the awesome pictures coming!
Prayers for y’all!
Great photo blog! Just can’t wait for designs that will come out of all these photos!
